Via Medical Massage: South

A massage with firm to deep pressure customized to treat problem areas. Areas of concern will be addressed with techniques such as trigger point release, guasha, cupping, and myofascial release. This massage is ideal for those suffering from headaches, back pain, or mild soft tissue injuries.

Therapeutic or rehabilitative massage

Massage with slow, deep pressure to address chronic muscular tension. Therapeutic cupping, trigger point release, and stretching may also be utilized to improve blood flow and mobility to affected muscles. 

Deep tissue massage

This technique is performed using gentle and specific strokes toward the direction of your body's lymph nodes. It is ideal for reducing sinus congestion or pain from inflammatory conditions. Lymph drainage also promotes a healthy immune system by filtering excess waste in the body. Lymphatic drainage is appropriate for those with an existing diagnosis of lymphedema, acute swelling from sports injuries, and chronic lower extremity swelling.

Manual Lymph Drainage

Effective interventions for the changes experienced with pregnancy and childbirth. Techniques many include lymph drainage for leg/foot swelling and promotion of lactation, scar mobilization for C-section scars, deep tissue and trigger point release for postural pain, or cranial work for anxiety reduction. Clients may be positioned on a special prone pillow to lay on their stomach, positioned on their sides or back with head elevated.

Prenatal/Postpartum Massage

Massage therapy designed for clients who are actively undergoing cancer treatment, or who are recently in remission. A thorough assessment will be performed to determine modalities to be used, comfortable positioning, and goals for treatment. Oncology Massage

We will assist you in determining whether your headache comes from muscular, skeletal, neurological or vascular origins. From there, we will apply specific trigger point holds, myofascial release, and muscle energy techniques to decrease the intensity of your headaches and improve neck range of motion. Cupping, guasha(scraping), and stretching may also be utilized to achieve desired outcomes.

Headache massage

Pediatric massage includes techniques for sports injury, swelling, gastrointestinal discomfort, nasal congestion, and more. Parents and providers will discuss a treatment plan for optimal comfort and safety of the child. Massage may be performed with the child fully clothed, with parents in the treatment room, and for shorter durations if needed and requested.
